Evening.... I am using "free" internet in beautiful Urunga so thought I'd take full advantage of the 3 hrs or 50mb I have today.
We left Nelson Bay Tuesday about 2:30 & arrived at Port Macquarie right on dusk, which we now know isn't a good move for beginner caravan parkers so will hopefully avoid doing that again. We discovered a cheaper alternative to Big4's.. top tourist parks. We saved an amazing $17 on our first official night. The park was nice, loos oldish but clean & nice people.
We left Port early this morning & were all set up in Urunga by 10:30am. We have some lovely neighbours & have decided to stay on another night here rather than the short trip to Yamba, plus the weather is fab & so is the view.. We're right on the waterfront, park across the road, only thing is no kids for our's to play with so they're relying on each other.
We went to Bellingen & Dorigo today. Visited John's Grandparents graves which we'd not done for atleast 8 yrs. Dorigo is beautiful but bloody cold as we discovered, so we didn't hang around there too long. Back to Urunga for an attempt at fishing & a welcome beer with the grey nomads..
Tomorrow we'll be going to the Big Banana.....which all the kids are looking forward to (me included) & a look around Coffs before our last night here..
Well, that's it from me for tonight. Better go see if they've managed to catch anything other than be freezing. Oh & the moon is beautiful, full, shining on the water, stunning.... anyone jealous????
Till next free internet site.... Bermuda St?????
Take care
