Have you ever been to Rockhampton????

I'm lucky, I've been there a couple of times. First was when I was 17 y.o in my hey day of Ten-Pin Bowling. I still remembered the motel we stayed at & the park I ran through to go to mum & dad so I coiuld escape my team mates being mean to me.....

It was a lllooonnnggg hot day on thursday. It was 31 degrees there & at 2am was still 20. The van park we stayed in was..... um...... interesting. The choices we had were, a site with power but no water, a site on the highway or the place we stayed in which was on the Fitzroy River, between 2 main roads, bridges & oh a train track & a road behind us. It was the worst night sleep I've had so far, maybe cause it was hot or just the interesting noises around the place. Guess living in Berowra Heights we're spoilt too.

I went to the office to ask weather they could recommend a pizza place. The "very helpful"sic lady directed me to Dominos or Eagle Boys.. no other option.....

Once again some sweet people who John & Hayden met whilst Loz & I were waiting for them to come back form the showers.... 20 mins later.....

We took of early Friday morning to get to the Gem fields. We stopped on the way for a bushwalk & a steep climb for the poor old Navara & Rapid, but they made it.
