Broadbeach to Hervey Bay - 12/08/09

We had a lovely 3 days with the folks & seeing Matthew. Loz wore a full glass of creaming soda at the Hog's Breath for dinner on saturday. Thankfully it all came out of her jumper after the manager washed it in soda water. We did the "Surfer's" walk & Copengagen ice cream as we have done for too many years now. We did a spot of fishing at mum & dad's. I won with 3 for that day so John & Hadyen had to beat me with 4 each on the next night. Nothing worth keeping on either trip..

We left for Hervey Bay where I haven't been for atleast 30 years.... many fond memories. Hervey bay isn't the quiet little seaside town it was back then, apparently the population there is 57,000 people.... wow & it's growing.

We stopped at a lovely van park & were once again greeted by some friendly seasoned travllers, alas still no kids to play with.... these 2 won't want to see each other for a year when we get back from this trip.

We settled in, went for a drive, bought a couple of yummy pineapples for 50c each, went home, had dinner than waited for the storm. A fair bit of rain, little thunder & the bats pooing & sqwaking in the trees above the van.. John & several others washed the car's & van's the next morning so the poo didn't stick.

We left Hervey Bay & headed for Rockhampton...... hmmm noice place that.
