Overview of our journey

Well, here we are.

7 sleeps away from our big journey. It's come around fast & I can't believe that this time next week we'll be on our way.

Our 1st port of call will be Nelson Bay - didn't want to travel too far on our first day. Here we'll say goodbye to John's parents & spend a warm night in the house with a yummy dinner cooked by Nanny Lorraine.

In the morning we'll head off for Port Macquarie & our first night in the Rapid. Next stop, Urunga where we'll head up to Dorrigo & visit John's grandparents graves & enjoy the spectacular views from the mountains - I love it up there, so clean & fresh.

After Urunga, we'll call in at Yamba to see the new headquarters of Global Style then on to Lismore to see John's cousin & family, then another short trip to Broadbeach Waters. If mum & dad will have us we'll spend a couple of days here. John's son Matthew lives in Brisbane so we'll visit him & I can do what the Penrose girl's do best... shop with my mummy...

That will end our first week on the road. At this stage I'm thinking I won't really feel like we're on a "big" adventure till we leave the comfort of family & head out on our own.

The kids are looking forward to seeing all the "BIG" things as am I & re-living some of the trips we had as a family when I was Lauren & Hayden's ages.

I'll do my best to keep this updated with photo's & hopefully some interesting things we do & see & not just jibber as I normally do when I talk to you all.

So there you have it.. my first entry of thousands........
